Nicola Coughlan is having a major corset moment. And I’m not talking about anything she wears in season three of Bridgerton. I’m talking about the custom, 24-karat gold corset she wore to a press event on April 13 (which you can see here). Good luck ripping that bodice off, Colin Bridgerton.
According to the brand that designed it, MISHO, the golden, two-piece corset, featuring an anatomical heart design in the center, was inspired by Coughlan’s Bridgerton character. “Inspired by Nicola’s character in the beloved show, the bodice adorns the form of a heart and is a modern sculptural interpretation of Penelope Featherington’s journey with love and finding herself this season,” the brand wrote on Instagram.
Coughlan wore the corset over a black, silk dress with off-the-shoulder sleeves, and paired it with MISHO’s golden “Amphora” necklace, which features a pendant in the shape of a water vessel. Coughlan kept the rest of her styling simple, wearing her blond hair in loose waves around her shoulders and adding a pair of simple black pumps.
“Polin Season is Officially Here 🐝,” Nicola Coughlan wrote on Instagram, referencing the Bridgerton fan portmanteau of Penelope and Colin’s first names. And I think we all know who the diamond of this season is.
