Prince William is definitely back at work. Not only did he have an appointment today with the Royal Air Force, he just wrapped up a trip to Wales, which included a stop at a festival and a meeting with a very sweet girl who managed to get the Prince of Wales to share super-cute details about his 9-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte. William’s quick trip included spending time with Welsh learners at the Urdd Eisteddfod, a cultural festival celebrating Welsh culture and language. During his time there and at Swiss Valley Community Primary School, he had a conversation with a young girl named Ruby Davies, who had won an individual reciting competition earlier in the year.
In an adorable video shared by the BBC that has since gone viral, fans get a peek at William’s sweet conversation with Ruby, which includes him saying, “Charlotte loves her dancing and performing as well, so I’m going to show her your video when I get home, see where I’ve been today.” Ruby can be seen being completely ecstatic, saying, “I love performing as well!”
While William didn’t share what sort of performances Charlotte puts on for her friends and family, the fact that she attended Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour could be a clue.
The Mirror adds that this isn’t the first time that the royals have spoken about Charlotte’s hobbies. Princess Catherine shared that her daughter has been in private ballet lessons since she was 3 and the family was seen taking in a performance of The Nutcracker at London’s Royal Opera House.
According to Hello!, during a visit to a mill in September 2023, Kate had the opportunity to chat with 7-year-old dance enthusiast Emily May Catto. Speaking to the young fan, Kate said, “My daughter Charlotte likes dancing. She loves ballet and tap. Keep up the dancing.”
